Kuusenkerkkä is a Finnish word for spruce tip, which symbolises new beginnings and sustainable growth. The founder and CEO of Kuusenkerkkä Oy, Olli Kuusi, has a passion for woodworking despite his primary career as a corporate lawyer. In 2020, Olli started to make projects in his own workshop. In 2023, he enrolled in a professional school to learn best techniques and practices from the masters, and network with fellow woodworkers and entrepreneurs. You can find him in his workshop located close to his family’s 19th-century log house, where his spouse, son, and their golden retriever inspire him to create something on a daily basis. Since Olli’s primary profession is a corporate lawyer, projects take all the time they need to complete in a sustainable way without compromising quality. Olli loves to design durable furniture from sustainable materials and is committed to making customers proud of their commissioned pieces.
